Hot off last month’s release of Chained to the City, Kevin Gates hits the streets of Chicago in the video for “Let It Sing,” one of the EP’s three tracks.

Sporting an “I’m Him” T-shirt, which is available for sale on his website, the Baton Rouge rapper pulls up to the projects in the gritty clip and rides through the city with three women by his side.

“She don’t trust a ni**a / Ni**a, I don’t trust a wedding ring,” he raps as he sits shotgun. “Ray Charles, I can’t see / Aretha Franklin, let it sing.”

Inspired by his incarceration, Chained to the City marks Gates’ first collection of music since his release from prison in January. Two of the EP’s tracks, “Change Lanes” and “Let It Sing,” both debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 68 and No. 82, respectively.
