Travis Scott celebrates his 26th birthday by teasing new music. La Flame promises to unveil new material in the coming week and it may feature some familiar faces.
“Thank u Mama and God for bringing me in this world today,” he tweeted. “THAT BEING SAID!!! THIS WEEK THE FANS EAT.”
Last week, Kanye West teased a new track featuring Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. “Trav we gotta drop the track with me you and Uzi this week bro,” he wrote. “Let’s goooooooooooooooooooooooo.” Travis quoted the tweet and added: “T’was the plan legoooo.”
Yeezy and Flame have collaborated on a series of tracks in the past, including “Sin City,” “Champions,” and “Piss On Your Grave.” Scott once claimed he was also executive producing G.O.O.D. Music’s long-rumored Cruel Winter.
For his part, Scott has been teasing his upcoming album AstroWorld for almost two years. Last year, he said the album might be his best to date.
“It might be the best music that I made,” he said. “I have two records on the album that are like, man, they are the best. They tore down AstroWorld [an amusement park] to build more apartment space [in 2005].
“That’s what it’s going to sound like,” he added, “Like taking an amusement park away from kids. We want it back. We want the building back. That’s why I’m doing it. It took the fun out of the city.”
