Life is a chess game in the video for 2 Chainz’ “Trap Check,” the latest single off his recently-released album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.

Directed by Howard Ross, the black-and-white visual features Tity Boi and a cast of people made to look like chess pieces on a giant checked floor.

Soon, the game turns deadly. As 2 Chainz looks on from his position as a king on both sides, one bishop jams a javelin into another. Later, pieces get slapped, socked, and shoved off the board. Eventually, one queen viciously pulls another’s heart out and eats it without mercy. Checkmate.

“Trap Check” follows visuals for “Blue Cheese” with Migos, “It’s a Vibe” with Trey Songz, Ty Dolla $ign, and Jhené Aiko, and “Sleep When U Die” off Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
