It’s Guwop and Barbie. Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj put their differences aside and reunite on “Make Love,” a surprise single which arrived on Thursday night (Feb. 23). Gucci goes first, boasting about “makin’ money like I’m makin’ sweet love” and his Oct. 17 wedding to fiancée Keyshia Ka’oir.
“You talkin’ crazy / I’m tryna book Beyoncé for my wedding date / I’m the type of ni**a spend a million on a wedding cake,” he raps.
Nicki comes through with one of her best verses to date.
“I rep Queens where they listen to a bunch of Nas / I’m a yes and these bitches is a bunch of nahs,” she raps. “Bitch, I’m ‘The Greatest’ / No Kendrick and no Sia / I’m the iPhone, you the Nokia.”
She also takes shots at the competition. “Your career gon’ be with Anna Nicole witcha dumbass face,” she spits. “You see silly wabbit / To be the queen of rap, you gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques / ‘S’ plural like the ‘S’ on my chest / Now sit your dumbass down, you got an ‘F’ on your test.”
Look out for the video next. Earlier this month, Gucci and Nicki teased photos from what appeared to be a video shoot.
This is the second Nicki song to drop today following Jason Derulo’s “Swalla.”
