Travis Scott has some good and bad news for fans.

The bad news is that his oft-delayed sophomore album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight has yet to see a release. The good news is that he’s planning a party this week.

On Friday (Aug. 12), La Flame and Apple Music are set to host a “.Wav Party” in Los Angeles. The mysterious event will feature the video premieres of “Pick Up the Phone” and “90210,” and a James Turrell installation at an unnamed location.

“AUGUST 5TH WE WAS SUPPOSE TO SET THIS OFF,” he wrote on Instagram. “BUT DO TO ‘TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES’ WE HAD TO MOVE IT TO THE 12th. THAT BEING SAID KIDS WE EAT FRIDAY. JOIN ME AND CHASE B FOR A FREE EXPERIENCE SOMWHERE IN LA FOR THE START OF BIRD SZN. TUNE IN ON THE 12th. AND U SHALL BE GUIDED.”

It’s unclear what this event will mean for the release of Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight and Scott kept that mystery going on Twitter with this cryptic message:

Back in June, Travis promised that the album would drop within a week. Last month, he said the delay was due to his new Apple deal. At the time, he also discussed the album’s messages.

“That’s what this album is full of: just reality,” he said. “I’m cutting the bullshit. I’m not even preaching. I’m just saying what’s on my mind, how we feel, how me and my peers feel. I don’t know anything about the politics. I don’t really dive into it. But just being a black man in America, everything is f**ked up right now. Being a minority against the grain, everything is f**ked up.”

Despite not dropping Birds yet, Scott has already announced the title of his third album Astroworld.
