The saga continues. After fallouts with Tyga, Busta Rhymes, and Mystikal, YMCMB’s all-star Lil Wayne has publicly declared that he wants off Birdman and Slim’s label.
In a series of candid tweets on Thursday, Weezy revealed that his long-awaited album Tha Carter V, which was due December 9, won’t be released because Birdman and Cash Money refuse to put it out.
He claims that he’s been a “prisoner” and apologized to his fans for making them wait.

Pusha T saw Weezy’s tweets and told him to jump ship and join G.O.O.D. Music.
This is the latest episode in an ongoing feud between YMCMB and its artists. In October, Tyga complained that Young Money wouldn’t release his album and that he wanted to go independent.
In an interview with Hot 97, Birdman responded to Tyga, saying, “Either you’re with it or you ain’t. You gotta just choose your side.”
Busta Rhymes left Cash Money in July, citing creative differences, and Mystikal told Rap-Up TV that he was trying to get out of his contract.
