Lil Wayne was supposed to release his album Tha Carter V on Tuesday, but it has been pushed back. The Young Money rapper issued a PSA explaining the delay and announcing a new date.

“We had to push the album back due to a problem,” said Weezy while holding his skateboard. “That problem being, honestly, I just been skating too damn much, man. I been skating too much and I just totally forget about the motherfu**in’ Carter.”

But all jokes aside, he’s been locked in the studio recording the fifth installment in Tha Carter series. “Honestly, I been working hard every motherfu**in’ day on this album and this album means a whole lot to me. I know the real fans out there, it means a whole lot to them too, so I kinda refuse to cheat them and give them anything rushed.”

He recorded so many tracks that he had to find a way to get them all out. He flashed a tentative tracklisting that included 30 songs.

“I got way too much to just give ya’ll half of it,” he said. “If I would’ve dropped the album today, it would have to be 12 or 13 songs. I refuse to do it. I refuse to cheat my fans. I refuse to cheat myself.”

In order to give his fans more music, he has decided to split Tha Carter V into parts, the first dropping December 9.

Along with the announcement, he premiered a new single called “Gotti” featuring The Lox. Listen to Weezy’s song and PSA below.
