Kanye West is keeping the peace. Before he makes his 2020 bid for president, the G.O.O.D. Music mogul quietly put an end to Tyga and Drake’s beef.
While promoting his latest mixtape Rawwest Ni**a Alive, Tyga revealed that Kanye brought the Young Money labelmates together during his Yeezy Season 2 show in August.
“‘Ye, he put us in a room together when he was doing his fashion show,” he said during an interview with Real 92.3. “I didn’t even know [Drake] was there and then we seen each other and we gave each other a hug and we just chopped it up on some real stuff.”

In a October 2014 interview with VIBE, Tyga blasted Drake for being “fake.” The Canadian rapper responded with a diss of his own (“I heard the lil’ lil’ homie talking reckless in VIBE / That’s quite a platform you chose, you should have kept it inside”) on “6PM in New York.” Tyga fired back, tweeting, “@Drake u still a bitch.”
But that’s all in the past. “It ain’t no tension. We cool. We on good terms,” said Tyga during Monday’s interview. “I think that’s the main thing, when you got history with somebody and then you stop communicating with a person, it can go any way.”
He even left the door open to a collaboration. “Yeah, for sure. You never know.”
He also praised ‘Ye for facilitating the reunion and called him the “Farrakhan of rap.” “He really reaches out and incorporates the younger generation and gets everybody involved and that’s what I like,” said Tyga. “He ain’t tryna put artists against other artists. He’ll do a song with Drake, he’ll do a song with like whoever. He want everybody to work together. So that’s why I feel like he’s the leader of his generation.”
Plus, he revealed that he has been working with Kanye on new music. “We actually been working on a few joints though. He workin’ on this joint that I got with him that’s crazy. I was workin’ with him on his album [Waves]. He got some crazy stuff.”
