Ice Spice is currently on her “Y2K! World Tour,” but that evidently hasn’t kept her out of the gym. On Thursday (Aug. 29) night, the Bronx native dropped her official fitness routine.
In the video, Ice wore a cropped hoodie and matching bodysuit. She started her training session with stretches and Russian twists before segueing into deadlifts using dumbbells. From there, the “Munch (Feelin’ U)” rapper did more abdominal and lower body-focused workouts, including planks and leg presses. “We beatin’ them allegations, bae,” she captioned the post.
In the comments section, her fans and other celebrities showed their support. “Body on point,” Chlöe Bailey replied. Another Instagram user remarked, “And there are still people who have the audacity to say that weight loss is due to Ozempic.”
In July, the internet accused Ice of being on the aforementioned antidiabetic drug — which is known to aid in long-term weight loss — after her set at Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland. While she didn’t respond at the time, Sexyy Red shot back at the accusations: “[Y’all] act like people can’t [be] stressed or not eat as much, and she still [looks] good, so next.”
Fast forward to mid-August, the Grammy-nominated artist finally addressed the allegations herself. “I wish y’all never learned the word ‘Ozempic.’ That’s one thing I wish. Oh my god, what even is Ozempic? What the f**k is that? Like, genuinely, what is that, bro? [Have] you lazy a** b**ches never heard of a gym?” she questioned on Twitter Spaces before emphasizing, “It’s called the gym. It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all day, it'd be easier to stay big.”
On the music side, Ice’s Y2K! debuted with features from Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee. It landed at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 chart, with a whopping 28,000 album-equivalent units sold.
