In September, GloRilla dropped “Cha Cha Cha” with Fivio Foreign. The song appeared on CMG The Label’s Gangsta Art 2: Reloaded LP and sampled “Oochie Wally (Remix)” by Nas and Bravehearts.

Despite garnering 1.1 million views on YouTube, not everyone enjoyed the song. In particular, Kai Cenat negatively reacted to the track during one of his livestreams. He exclaimed, “No, no, no, no. Come on, GloRilla. I love Glo, bro. I love Glo, but no.”

After the clip of his feedback on the record surfaced online, Cenat alleged that the Memphis rapper blocked him on Instagram.

In a reposted video, the streamer explained, “The way you can know I’m not being real with y’all, chat, [is] if the s**t clearly a** and I’m saying it’s nice… Them n**gas done posted me and… Bro, you see the video of GloRilla s**t? I hope GloRilla not taking no hard feelings, but the ‘Cha Cha Cha.’ GloRilla is nice, but that was not it, you feel me? And I love GloRilla, you feel me?”

During an Instagram Live session on Sunday (Oct. 22) night, GloRilla seemingly responded to the situation. She stated, “Don’t come on my Live asking me about nobody that I done blocked. F**k you talkin’ ’bout? They blocked, and they gon’ stay there. You made your bed; you gotta lay there, n**ga.”

Outside of the records featured on CMG’s Gangsta Art 2: Reloaded, GloRilla teamed up with former collaborators Gloss Up, Slimeroni, K Carbon, and Aleza on the Tay Keith-produced “Wrong One” in September. Prior to that, the musician dropped singles like “Lick Or Sum,” “On Wat U” with Moneybagg Yo, and “Internet Trolls” earlier this year.

Rumors surfaced that she got into a scuffle with JT at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. However, the City Girls rapper shut down all speculation in a since-deleted tweet on Oct. 7. It read, “I know y’all lives hella boring, and y’all love to believe that, but it didn’t happen. Next caller!”
