Over the weekend, Charlamagne Tha God attended Usher’s Las Vegas residency with his wife. During the gig, the R&B star fulfilled a promise he previously made in his September interview with the radio show.
The “Burn” hitmaker serenaded Charlamagne’s wife and brought her a dozen roses. During today’s (Oct. 23) airing of “The Breakfast Club,” the South Carolina native jokingly called Usher a “terrorist” for his antics while describing his experience.
“He comes into the crowd. He’s a terrorist. Terrorists come to you. He don’t bring you on stage; he comes to you,” he opened. “Not only did Usher sing to my wife, he gave my wife a dozen roses.”
Charlamagne continued, “Let me tell y’all how much a terrorist Usher is. He went from my wife to Doja Cat, who was clearly here with a guy. I don’t know if that was her dude, but he didn’t care. Then, Jessica Alba was sitting behind me. He went to Jessica Alba and started singing to her; she’s married. Then he had the nerve to look at J-Lo and say, ‘I don’t want no smoke with Ben Affleck.’ What you want smoke with me for?”
Over the past several months, Usher’s residency saw a number of high-profile names in attendance. Issa Rae, Kimora Lee Simmons, Taraji P. Henson, Kim Kardashian, Keke Palmer, Saweetie, and Winnie Harlow were the many celebrities who were spotted.
Last week, Summer Walker went to one of the Confessions artist’s shows. In a clip uploaded to her Instagram, the pair were seen crooning 2010’s “There Goes My Baby” and their joint effort titled “Good Good” with 21 Savage. The last-mentioned track will appear on Usher’s COMING HOME on Feb. 11, 2024.
Next year, Usher will also perform at the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. Initially announced in September, he’s slated to take the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on the day of his LP release.
