Justine Skye is not done exposing her ex.
The R&B songstress has announced that her new single “What a Lie” will hit streaming services on Friday. The song was seemingly inspired by her relationship with ex-boyfriend Giveon.
“Ya’ll keep telling me to put it in the music! WHAT A LIE … Coming 4/22,” she tweeted.
In anticipation of her new music, she started a Twitter thread titled “Lies an fboy will tell you…” and shared a long list of “lies” including “I’m single,” “That’s just my homegirl,” “My phone was dead,” and more.
In December, Skye put the “Heartbreak Anniversary” singer on blast for cheating on her. While on Instagram Live, Justine revealed that she found out he was creeping behind her back after she got access to his phone and saw that he was texting other women.
“Finally when I hear from him one of the first things he said was, ‘Are you trying to ruin me? You told everyone?’” she recalled. “That for sure was the craziest lie that I have ever caught someone in.”
Giveon is releasing his new single “Lie Again” a week later on April 29. In response to a tweet comparing the two singles, Justine shaded her ex while seemingly denying that his song is about her.
“I already know what this weak ass song sounds like anyway,” she tweeted. “It’s not what y’all think it’ll be.”
