Dr. Dre has struck a $100 million deal in his divorce battle.

The hip-hop mogul has agreed to pay his ex-wife Nicole Young $100 million as part of a property settlement agreement. She will get $50 million now and $50 million a year from now.

As part of the settlement, Dre will keep seven of the properties they shared—a Malibu home, two homes in Calabasas, and four properties in the L.A. area, including a $100 million Brentwood mansion.

According to TMZ, Dre is “delighted” that his ex is only getting a fraction of his estate, which is valued at $820 million.

Additionally, Dre will retain full rights to his master recordings, trademarks, and interests in various partnerships and trusts. He also will hold onto all of his Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the 2014 sale of Beats by Dre.

They will divide their vehicles—he gets six and she gets four. Nicole will keep jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage.

She must pay her own legal fees, which amount to millions of dollars. The settlement also prevents her from getting spousal support.

Sources close to Dre say Nicole could have received more had she settled a year ago. “She could have even been on the field for the Super Bowl halftime show as a friendly ex-wife,” said one source.

Nicole filed for divorce from Dre in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage. It was a lengthy and bitter proceeding, with Nicole reportedly attempting to serve Dre with legal documents while he was attending a funeral for his grandmother.

Dre recently celebrated the end of the contentious marriage by posing under a balloon arch that said “Divorced AF.”
