Icy Season is coming.

While fans await Pretty Bitch Music, Saweetie is holding them over with new music. Speaking with Julia and Bru at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert in L.A. over the weekend, she revealed that her Icy Season project will arrive this winter.

“I’m currently working on a project that I’ll be releasing during the winter time called Icy Season,” she said. “It’s just kinda to get you guys ready for Pretty Bitch Music.”

The Icy Grl explained why it was important for her to drop during the wintertime. “It’s just icy season. The wintertime is my season, so I think that it’s important that I cater and I serve my fans some new music during our season,” she said.

According to Saweetie, being “icy” has nothing to do with jewelry. “Icy is a mentality,” she said. “All my icy girls know that they’re hustlers, they’re go-getters, they’re good people, so being icy falls under those categories.”

Saweetie’s debut album Pretty Bitch Music was slated to arrive over the summer but has been delayed. “One of my goals is for people to really feel something with every song so I had to go back and reconstruct some songs,” she told Big Tigger.

No new release date has been announced, but Saweetie promises it will be worth the wait when it does arrive. “So just know that I’m a perfectionist and it’s on the way.”

In the meantime, she can be heard on Anitta’s new single “Faking Love.”
