Dr. Dre’s bitter divorce battle continues.

On Monday, the music mogul’s ex-wife, Nicole Young, reportedly attempted to serve him with legal documents while he was attending a funeral for his late grandmother in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the process server came up to Dre at the cemetery while he was burying the woman who helped raise him.

It’s unclear where exactly Dre was confronted by the process server. Sources close to Dre say the server approached him at the burial site as he was standing by his grandma’s casket. Sources connected to Nicole claim Dre was served in the cemetery’s parking lot after the burial.

Dre was reportedly enraged and wouldn’t take the documents in hand. Dre’s camp says the process server dropped the documents by the gravesite, while Nicole’s sources say they were left in the parking lot.

The documents concern a dispute over payment of Nicole’s attorney’s fees. The judge signed an order that Dre owed a total of $1,550,000, of which Dre paid $325,433. Dre believes that amount is in error and he paid the full fee. However, Nicole says Dre owes a balance of $1,224,567. The legal docs included the judge’s final order of $1,550,000.

Dre and Nicole’s marriage legally ended in April. She filed for divorce back in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage. In August, the Super Bowl performer was ordered to pay his estranged wife $293,306 per month in spousal support.
