G-Eazy was arrested Monday evening following a nightclub brawl.

The rapper and his crew allegedly got into an altercation with another group of men around 1 a.m. Friday (Sept. 10) at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel in New York. According to Page Six, someone in G-Eazy’s crew hit socialite Daniel Chetrit over the head with a bottle. The scuffle moved outside where G-Eazy allegedly punched another man in the head.

G-Eazy, born Gerald Gillum, was taken into custody on Monday at 5:30 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor assault for striking the alleged victim in the face, causing pain and redness. It’s unclear if anyone else was charged.

The man G-Eazy allegedly punched refused treatment. Chetrit, the son of real estate developer Joseph Chetrit, went to the hospital and had to get stitches in his head.

The arrest happened as celebrities were preparing for the Met Gala on Monday. G-Eazy is set to go before a judge at a later date.
