Kanye West and Drake are at war.
Just days after Drake reignited their beef with his “Betrayal” verse, Kanye is firing back. In the early hours of Monday morning, Ye took to Instagram to share the location of Drake’s Toronto mansion, only to delete it shortly after.
But despite airing out his home address to his 7 million-plus followers, Drake seems to be taking it all in stride. After Ye’s post and delete, Drake shared a video on IG Stories of himself laughing while driving through Toronto.
Over the weekend, Trippie Redd dropped his Drake collaboration “Betrayal,” on which the 6 God seemingly took shots at Ye. “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know,” he raps on the track off Trippie’s album Trip at Knight. “45, 44 (burned out), let it go / Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”
Kanye responded by posting a group text on which Drake’s longtime nemesis Pusha T was added. The post, which was later deleted, features a picture of the Joker along with a threatening message: “I live for this. I’ve been fu**ed with by nerd ass jock ni**as like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.”
In a previous text, Kanye appears to tell Virgil Abloh that he wants him to design a custom green-faced Patek Philippe watch, the same one Drake rapped about on “Life Is Good.” “Where my green watch,” he asked Louis Vuitton’s artistic director.
It’s unclear how their beef will play out. Both rappers are gearing up to release new albums. There are rumors that Kanye was waiting to release DONDA at the same time as Drake’s Certified Lover Boy. On Thursday, Ye is set to host another listening event for the album at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
