A new Pop Smoke album is on the way.

One year after the release of his first posthumous album, the late Brooklyn rapper’s label Victor Victor Worldwide has officially announced that the follow-up will arrive on July 16. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer. The as-yet-untitled 17-track set is now available for pre-order.

Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, was released on July 3, 2020 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album, which has moved over 7 million units worldwide, charted in the top five on the Billboard 200 for 34 weeks, becoming only the fourth album this century to spend that many weeks in the top five. It is also the longest-running album on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart since 1990.

Fans have been anxiously awaiting more music from Pop Smoke, who was fatally shot during a home invasion robbery in February 2020. Earlier this month, his manager and the president of Victor Victor Worldwide, Steven Victor, took to Twitter to tease a second posthumous project.

50 Cent served as co-executive producer on Shoot for the Stars, but he may not be involved this time around. “[Steven Victor] talked to me about the new record, and I’m not sure if I’ll participate with this, that record,” he said during a recent interview.

Pop Smoke, who is nominated for two BET Awards, can also be heard on several albums including Migos’ Culture III, Polo G’s Hall of Fame, and the F9 soundtrack.
