The hat is back.
After over six years, Bobby Shmurda finally reunited with his famous New York Knicks hat. While on Instagram Live, Bobby sported a grey and blue Knicks cap that looked just like the one from the “Hot N*gga” music video. He and his crew had a laugh as they joked about the long-awaited reunion.
“They wanna see the hat. The f**ing hat is back,” said someone on Bobby’s livestream, while the Brooklyn rapper pointed to the hat and responded, “They know where I’m from.”
In the 2014 video for “Hot N*gga,” Bobby throws his Knicks hat in the air while doing the Shmurda Dance, but it never comes back down. The moment became a viral sensation, inspiring several memes.
Bobby (sans hat) was later spotted courtside with Rowdy Rebel at the Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks game at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Monday night. Following the Nets win, James Harden gifted Shmurda with a game-worn autographed jersey which he proudly showed off.
On the heels of his prison release last month, Bobby has been working on new music. He was recently in the studio with Quavo and Young Thug.
