Her list includes neo-soul greats like Musiq Soulchild, India.Arie, and Jill Scott. She also paid homage to the “Vocal Bible” Brandy and the legendary Mariah Carey.

“Vocally, I’m always listening to Brandy. As a writer, I’m always listening to India. Arie and Drake,” Kehlani previously told Interview magazine.

Fat Joe went on to share his favorite R&B artists, including Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Babyface, and Sade. “I’m more of an R&B guy than a hip-hop guy,” he said. “R&B is my passion.”

Kehlani, who released her album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t in May, is back in the studio. Last month, she hinted that new music could drop soon.
