50 Cent is giving his vote to Donald Trump.
The rapper has publicly endorsed the current President for reelection. On Monday, 50 shared a photo of a television screen showing the tax rates by state under Joe Biden’s tax plan.
“WHAT THE FUCK! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT, F**K NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway,” he wrote.
He also addressed Trump’s unfavorable standing with the Black community, but said he was willing to overlook it because of the impact on his taxes. “I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya fu**ing mind,” he added.
Some fans were quick to point out that Biden’s tax plan only affects those whose income is over $400,00 per year.
It’s unclear if he plans to actually vote for Trump or if he’s just trolling in typical 50 fashion. He followed it up with a post about his bankruptcy. “I just remembered i’m bankrupt, so i’m looking for a gracious loan can anyone help a brother out. LOL,” he said.
50 faced backlash as well as support from his followers including conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren, who wrote, “Amen!!!”
Despite his endorsement, 50 hasn’t always been a Trump fan. Prior to his election, he slammed the Republican presidential candidate. “Let us pray, lord please don’t let Trump into office. We will spin out of control,” he tweeted in September 2016.
50 is not the only one who’s been criticized for his politics. Ice Cube recently responded to backlash over his willingness to work with the Trump Administration on his Contract With Black America.
