Megan Thee Stallion is revealing her scars for the first time.
The Houston rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday to share graphic photos of the injuries she suffered during last month’s shooting involving Tory Lanez. In one photo, her bloodied heel can be seen with stitches after undergoing surgery to remove multiple bullets. A second photo shows a doctor and nurse removing the stitches from her foot.
Along with the pics, Meg addressed her critics who didn’t believe she was actually injured. “Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the shit YALL make up,” she wrote.
“I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot? Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad ? Why y’all upset that I can walk ?”
Meg stepped out to the strip club this week with a bandaged foot to celebrate her chart-topping single “WAP.” She documented the experience on social media, but some took issue with the fact that she was out partying. However, she refuses to let them bring her down.
“I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1,” said Meg. “I usually don’t address internet bullshit but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION.”
Meg revealed that she was shot multiple times in the feet during the traumatic incident in the Hollywood Hills on July 12. Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and is being investigated as the possible trigger man. “It was super scary. It was just the worst experience of my life and it’s not funny,” Meg previously said.
After debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “WAP,” she and Cardi B have teamed up to celebrate women empowerment by giving away $1 million via Twitter and Cash App. Any woman who tweets the hashtag #WAPParty and their Cash App username is eligible. Two-thousand winners will each receive $500.
