Kanye West wants to make TikTok for Christians.
The born-again Christian and father of four explained his vision to create a religious version of the popular social media platform, free of any racy content. He said he was inspired after viewing the app with his daughter North West. While he was “disturbed” by what he saw, he fell in love with the platform.
“A VISION JUST CAME TO ME… JESUS TOK,” he tweeted. “I WAS WATCHING TIK TOK WITH MY DAUGHTER AND AS A CHRISTIAN FATHER I WAS DISTURBED BY A LOT OF THE CONTENT BUT I COMPLETELY LOVED THE TECHNOLOGY.”
He hopes to work directly with TikTok to create a “Christian-monitored version” of the app called “Jesus Tok” that feels “safe for young children and the world.”
Kanye recently claimed that his net worth was approaching $5 billion (Forbes declared him a billionaire in April) and announced that he was looking to find a “trusted Christian CFO” for Yeezy.
This weekend, he brought back Sunday Service at his family ranch in Wyoming. The weekly series was put on hold due to COVID-19, but Kanye says his team made sure to follow safety guidelines. His family including wife Kim Kardashian and son Saint were spotted in attendance.
“We are beyond blessed to be able to share the love of Christ through worship,” said Ye, who added the hashtag #SUNDAYSERVICEISBACK.
