Megan Thee Stallion ushered in Hot Girl Summer at the 2020 BET Awards on Sunday. Nominated for five awards, the Houston hottie turned the Las Vegas desert into her playground with a fiery medley of hits.
Joined by her Hotties, she kicked off the Mad Max-inspired performance with her new Eazy-E-sampled single “Girls in the Hood.” She continued with her chart-topping smash “Savage” featuring Beyoncé, showing off her flexibility as she twerked on the scaffolding while supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. For the finale, she rode through the desert in a badass Mad Max-esque vehicle.
Meg also went home with the award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. “I used to watch the BET Awards all the time thinking, ‘One day that’s gon’ be me going up there and accepting my awards and there it is,'” she said while accepting her award from home.
