Gunna has put a date on it.
After much anticipation, the Atlanta rapper has announced a release date for his sophomore album Wunna. The project was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will now arrive May 22.
Along with the announcement, Gunna shared a teaser for a Spike Jordan-directed short film, which documents the making of the album and was shot in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In the 90-second clip, Gunna can be seen in the studio with producers including Wheezy, Turbo, and Keyz.
In March, Gunna dropped off the first single “Skybox.” He also remains one of hip-hop’s most in-demand features, collaborating with everyone from Camila Cabello to Nav. Last month, he released the Young Thug-assisted “Quarantine Clean” to hold fans over until the album drops.
Wunna follows Gunna’s debut album Drip or Drown 2, which was released in February 2019 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
