Trina and Khia are facing their own battle.
The rappers are at odds after Khia challenged Trina to a hit battle. While discussing Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s popular “Verzuz” series with a caller last month, the Thug Misses issued a challenge to the Diamond Princess.
“Who wanna try me like that? Who?” laughed Khia before the person on the call suggested Trina. “You wanna have a hit battle, bitch? I got 285 hits to put on your ass.”
But Trina is not having it. While hosting her “Trick & Trina Morning Show” on 99 JAMZ, she told Khia to keep her name out of her mouth, while shutting down any possibility of a battle. “I’m not stepping off my throne to address no bum, no chicks that are beneath me, and nobody that has not worked as hard as I’ve worked for anything,” she said.
She also told Khia to make sure she has the catalog to back up her claims. “So when you girls, or whatever you wanna be, are calling my name, you wanna battle, you wanna do all this, first of all, make sure you have 10 hits,” she added. “Make sure you have enough records, make sure you’re on my level if you think you wanna go toe-to-toe with me ’cause you cannot.”
Da Baddest Bitch ended with a warning: “I will not address you scumbags. You are beneath me and you will always be. Please make sure you understand that.”
Fans reacted to the challenge, noting that Khia is best known for one recognizable hit, 2002’s “My Neck, My Back (Lick It),” which peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100.
