Travis Scott and Kid Cudi are blasting straight to the top.
The rappers’ collaborative single “The Scotts” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song, which premiered during Fortnite’s “Astronomical” virtual concert, racked up 42.2 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 30. It also sold 67,000 downloads, boosted by physical copies of the single with artwork designed by KAWS.
“The Scotts” marks Scott’s third No. 1 on the Hot 100 and Cudi’s first. “THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!!! IVE BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 12 YEARS AND I FINALLY DID THIS W MY MUTHAFUCKIN BROTHER!” tweeted a grateful Cudi. “TO MY PARTNER IN RAGE TRAVIS AND ALL MY FANS AROUND THE WORLD THAT SUPPORTED US AND GOT US ON LISTS, I FUCKIN LOVE YOU!!”
Travis previously reached No. 1 with “Sicko Mode” in December 2018 and “Highest in the Room,” which debuted atop the Hot 100 in October 2019. Cudi peaked at No. 3 with his 2009 breakout single “Day ‘N’ Nite.”
Megan Thee Stallion also earns her first top 10 Hot 100 hit with “Savage,” which rises from No. 14 to No. 4 following the surprise remix with Beyoncé.
Elsewhere in the top 10, Drake’s “Toosie Slide” slips 2-3, Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” drops 3-5, and Doja Cat’s “Say So” falls 6-5, although it should see a boost next week following the remix featuring Nicki Minaj.
