Teyana Taylor closes out the year with her long-awaited single “We Got Love.”
Produced by Kanye West, the soulful track was originally recorded for Teyana’s 2018 album K.T.S.E., but was delayed because of issues clearing the sample of The Younghearts’s “We’ve Got Love (You Better Believe It).”
“I’ve always felt this was such a special record and wanted it to have the right moment,” said Teyana.
“We Got Love” is the latest release from the G.O.O.D. Music signee’s upcoming project The Album, which is now due in early 2020. It follows her singles “How You Want It? (HYWI?)” featuring King Combs and the seductive slow jam “Morning” featuring Kehlani.
Teyana and Kanye even shot a video for “We Got Love” outside of TMZ’s offices in Playa Vista, Calif. in October 2018, but it was never released.
In celebration of “We Got Love,” Teyana will headline her own Art Basel concert series in Miami tonight.
