French Montana was rushed to the hospital over cardiovascular issues.

According to TMZ, the 35-year-old rapper was transported via ambulance from his home to a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday around 1:30 p.m. Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, was reportedly experiencing intense nausea, stomach pain, and an elevated heart rate.

Earlier in the day, L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies were called to his Calabasas home for a possible robbery that turned out to be a false alarm. The responding deputies determined French was acting abnormal and seemed “out of it.”

He was taken to a San Fernando Valley hospital and is awake and alert. He underwent treatment that includes IV fluids and was expected to be released late Thursday.

It’s unclear what triggered the hospitalization, but French has been overseas in the Middle East and Europe over the last couple weeks. Those close to him suspect he could have been exposed to contaminated food during his travels.

French has also been busy working on his third studio album Montana, which has spawned the Cardi B and Post Malone-assisted “Writing on the Wall” and “Twisted” featuring Juicy J, Logic, and A$AP Rocky.
