Alicia Keys is stepping back in time.
After teaming up with 21 Savage on the remix to “Show Me Love,” the R&B songbird returns with her new single “Time Machine,” which she co-produced with Rob Knox. On the retro-funk bop, Keys celebrates the moment instead of dwelling in the past.
“No, we can’t rewind / Life ain’t no time machine,” she sings. “But once you free your mind, there’s beauty in everything.”
Along with the song, she has debuted a video. She hits the roller-skating rink with her girls in the throwback clip, which was shot at World on Wheels in Los Angeles and features a cameo from Tierra Whack.
Keys will return to host the 62nd annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 26. The 15-time Grammy winner is also readying her seventh studio album for release next year.
