Kodak Black was involved in a prison fight on Tuesday night that left one guard hospitalized.
According to The Associated Press, the “ZEZE” rapper got into an altercation with another inmate at Miami’s Federal Detention Center. During the melee, he kicked a prison guard who was attempting to break up the fight.
The injured guard was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition is currently unknown.
Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges in August and faces up to eight years in prison. He will remain in the detention center until his sentencing on Nov. 13.
In May, Black was charged with crimes including making false statements on federal forms to purchase three firearms. Prosecutors say a weapon purchased by Black was found at the scene of the Pompano Beach shooting.
