Lloyd Banks may be leaving the rap game behind.

On Wednesday, the former G-Unit rapper was asked if he had plans to drop another album. “Are you gonna bless us true fans with one more body of work?” tweeted one fan.

Banks’ response was equally shocking as it was sad. “Let’s be real..ain’t nobody checking for banks anymore,” he replied.

But fans were quick to share their support for the 37-year-old rapper, urging him not to throw in the towel and come back with more music.

According to Complex, the comment follows other cryptic tweets from Banks. On Sept. 2, he wrote “unwanted attention,” and in August he tweeted “withdrawal.”

Banks hasn’t released a studio album since 2010’s H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2). His most recent project was his 2016 mixtape Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury. In June 2018, 50 Cent announced that Banks was “officially off G-Unit Records,” marking the end of an era for the hip-hop group that also included Young Buck and Tony Yayo.
