It’s about to be lit again.
Travis Scott has announced that he has new music on the way. During his performance at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia on Sunday (Sept. 1), the Houston rapper told fans that the wait is almost over.
“We got some new music on the way, very motherfu**in’ soon,” he told the packed crowd at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
The “new music” he is referring to may be his Lil Baby collaboration “Highest in the Room,” which has been teased on social media. “Sent me a wave to come kick it. Highest in the Room soon reach,” Travis wrote on Instagram Sunday.
It’s been over a year since the Houston rapper released his chart-topping album Astroworld, which was certified double platinum and earned a nomination for Best Rap Album at the Grammys. He has also collaborated with Post Malone for his upcoming album Hollywood’s Bleeding, which drops Friday.
Meanwhile, Travis’ documentary Look Mom I Can Fly is doing “gigantic numbers” on Netflix. According to HITS Daily Double, the project is doing similar numbers to Beyoncé’s Homecoming, which hit over 1 million viewers on its premiere date.
In addition to La Flame, the two-day Made in America festival featured performances from Cardi B, Jorja Smith, Lizzo, Blueface, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Tierra Whack, and more.
