Khalid is spreading love in his hometown.

Following this month’s tragic mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, the singer has announced “A Night for Suncity,” a benefit concert at the Don Haskins Center on Sept. 1. The show, which will feature performances from Khalid and special guests, will raise funds to support the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. local time. The event is produced by Live Nation and presented by The Great Khalid Foundation and Khalid’s manager Courtney Stewart’s Right Hand Foundation.

“I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” said Khalid. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”

Additionally, donations can be made directly through The Great Khalid Foundation or by purchasing one of the commemorative shirts.

A gunman killed 22 people and injured 24 others during a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso on the morning of Aug. 3. The shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism and a possible hate crime.

Khalid is currently on his “Free Spirit World Tour,” which is set to wrap its North American leg in Miami on Aug. 17.
