A$AP Rocky may be in more trouble than originally thought.

The rapper was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after he and his team allegedly got into a brawl last weekend in Stockholm, Sweden. Now, Swedish authorities say they have no plans to release him anytime soon.

Prosecutors are asking a judge to allow them to hold Rocky and members of his crew for two weeks, while they investigate the alleged assault for which he was arrested on Tuesday (July 2). Swedish authorities are normally allowed to keep people for only three days, but TMZ says they are “clearly gunning” for Rocky.

Video surfaced of A$AP and his crew fighting and punching a man in the streets, leaving him battered and bloodied. The brawl allegedly started over claims that A$AP and his team broke a pair of the man’s headphones.

A$AP later shared another video that showed the alleged victim harassing him and hitting his bodyguard with the headphones. Rocky tried to play peacemaker and diffuse the situation, telling the two men to leave them alone.

“Just for the cameras, we don’t want no problems with these boys. They keep following us,” he said.

After seeing the second video, Swedish prosecutors say they are releasing the bodyguard due to “insufficient evidence” but are keeping A$AP in custody. This suggests that the second video didn’t persuade prosecutors, and they still want to pursue this as an assault.

This could lead to serious jail time for Rocky. If convicted, he faces up to six years behind bars.

Prior to his arrest, he pleaded his innocence on Instagram. “IM INNOCENT,” he wrote. “THEY TRYNNA ARREST ME OUT HERE NOW , SMH.”
