Rapper Slim 400 was rushed to the hospital after being shot during an attack in Compton.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that they got a call around 8:30 p.m. on Friday (June 28) for a male who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but a black vehicle suspected to be involved was seen leaving the scene.
Sources close to Slim 400 say he was shot eight times and underwent surgery. He is reportedly in critical but stable condition. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that a shooting occurred and that the victim was still alive.
The 31-year-old Compton native is best known for his “Bruisin” collaboration with YG and Sadboy Loko. He is also featured on YG’s 2016 album Still Brazy.
The shooting comes nearly three months after Nipsey Hussle was murdered outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Central L.A.
