Hndrxx season is approaching…again.

Less than six months after releasing his album The WIZRD, Future appears to have new music on the way. The FreeBand rapper has cleared his Instagram account to make way for the next era.

He shared a clip of a song called “Xanax Damage,” which finds him rapping about his drug addiction. “Baby when the sun is out it’s like I’m not myself,” sings Future. “Xanax doing damage, make it night so I can handle it.”

He then pleads for salvation. “Your arms around me, come and save me.”

Future seems to be singing a new tune. While his past lyrics have glamorized drugs, he said that he had a change of heart after his WRLD on Drugs collaborator Juice WRLD told him that his music inspired him to try lean as a child.

“When he told me that, I was like ‘Oh shit. What the fuck have I done?'” Future told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “It really bothered me. It bothered me a lot. More than that I thought it would bother me when he told me that. I didn’t think I’d care about that stuff. Four years ago, I probably wouldn’t have cared if he told me: ‘Oh, that was good you was drinking.’ Now it’s like, ‘Oh shit.’ How many other sixth-graders did I influence to drink lean?”

The revelation made him reconsider his lyrics. “I wasn’t aware of that influence, but now I’m aware of how much it influenced. It’s like, this shit really fucked me up for a minute. It’s all I could think about. Like, ‘Damn, what have I done? What have I done to other people? What I did to myself?'”

It appears that a new Future project is on the way. He previously teased a visual for another song called “Government Official.” He and Drake are also reportedly cooking up What a Time to Be Alive 2, a sequel to their 2015 collaborative album.
