Lil Durk is a wanted man.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the Chicago rapper in connection with a shooting. According to TMZ, the Atlanta Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for Durk, but he is not yet in custody.
Police are trying to book Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, on five felony charges including criminal intent to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and another charge of associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.
On Wednesday night (May 29), Lil Durk took to Instagram to announce that he’s turning himself in to police on Thursday, but he has yet to do so.
According to a police report, officers responded to reports of a person shot on the morning of Feb. 5 at a restaurant called The Varsity. Police recovered 13 shell casings from a rifle and pistol at the scene and found a firearm. The victim was hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound and underwent surgery.
Witnesses report that there was a verbal dispute with an unknown black male before the shooting. Police have reviewed surveillance footage and are currently investigating.
