One man was killed and a woman was injured during a shootout involving YoungBoy Never Broke Again on Sunday (May 12).

The shooting started around 1:30 p.m. outside the Trump International Beach Resort Miami in Sunny Isles Beach, according to Local 10. NBA YoungBoy and his entourage were reportedly on the scene at the time, but the rapper’s exact involvement is unclear. Multiple eyewitnesses told TMZ that someone opened fire on him.

Mohamad Jradi, a 43-year-old employee of the nearby Hertz Rental Car, was killed after he was caught in the crossfire, while a 19-year-old woman was taken to Aventura Hospital & Medical Center. Witnesses said the woman, identified by police as Kaylyn Long, was the girlfriend of NBA YoungBoy, who was scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud music festival. Her condition is unclear.

A 5-year-old boy was also grazed by a bullet and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

According to Miami-Dade Police, four men in a GMC Yukon were detained for questioning at Rolling Loud, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are investigating whether a second shooting, where one person suffered non-life threatening injuries, may be related to the incident at Trump International Beach Resort.

“We are deeply saddened by the incident that took place in our community yesterday and are grateful for the swift action of local law enforcement and first responders,” Trump International Beach Resort said in a statement. “As the investigation is ongoing, we are unable to comment further at this time.”

Despite the circumstances, NBA YoungBoy still made it to the stage at Rolling Loud on Sunday.
