Justin Bieber makes his long-awaited return with “I Don’t Care,” his highly-anticipated collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
The feel-good bop finds the pop heartthrobs trying to fit in at a party before realizing they don’t care as long as they’re with their loved ones. “‘Cause I don’t care / When I’m with my baby, yeah,” they sing on the Max Martin, Shellback, and FRED production. “All the bad things disappear / Girl, you’re making me feel like maybe I am somebody.”
The two, who collaborated on 2015’s chart-topping hit “Love Yourself,” have been teasing the track by posting cryptic messages on social media in the days leading up to release.
There’s more music to come from Bieber. The newly-married singer is in the studio working on the follow-up to 2015’s Purpose. After two years away from the spotlight, he returned to the stage during Ariana Grande’s Coachella set last month, where he announced that a new album was “coming soon.” Additionally, he can be heard on Chris Brown’s upcoming album Indigo, due June 21.
Meanwhile, Ed is set to return to the road on his European stadium tour, which kicks off May 24 and runs through August.
