Diddy is still dealing with the tragic loss of Kim Porter.
The hip-hop mogul took to social media to mourn his “ride or die,” who passed away in November. In his heartfelt Instagram post, he shared a throwback photo of the couple in front of a white Rolls-Royce and recalled the time Porter flew to the set of “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” in 1997. It was in that moment he knew they were meant for each other.
“I remember Kim flying to see me on the set of can’t nobody hold me down,” said Puff. “She took like a 12 hour flight to LA and 3 hour ride to the desert. With no complaints. Was always ride or die. From day 1! I called her BONNIE AND I WAS CLYDE! This picture will go down in history as the first time I said she was MINE!!!! AND THE FIRST TIME I TOLD HER I LOVE HER, little did I know I was hers. Miss you BONNIE ❤️ and will forever. Maaaaan life is beautiful to have had these experiences. Love you baby.”
The Bad Boy boss also revealed that he wishes he made a lifelong commitment to the mother of his children when she was alive.
In the comments, a fan called Diddy out for not marrying Porter. “And You Never Married her Whyyyyyyyyyy???? Yes I said it…..you fake….My opinion,” said the commenter before Diddy issued a response. “Never fake,” he said. “I wasn’t ready and that’s it. I’m ready now but it’s [too] late. Don’t be like me.”
Other commenters also chided him for dating other women, including Jennifer Lopez, while Porter was still alive. In response to the critics who asked why he never married her, Diddy admitted, “I was scared.”
This is not the first time the 49-year-old mogul has taken accountability for not marrying his ex. Earlier this month, he posted a photo of them cuddling and captioned it with a broken heart emoji. In his comments, someone again wrote, “When she was alive you didn’t wanna marry her,” to which Diddy replied, “I know. Played myself smh.”
Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, Calif. home on Nov. 15 at the age of 47. According to the L.A. County Coroner’s office, she died of lobar pneumonia.
During her funeral in late November, Diddy paid tribute to his soulmate. “There’s some people in your life that’s gonna be irreplaceable,” he said. “Kim, we gon’ miss you so much. But I ain’t gon’ miss you too much ’cause I’m not gon’ let your voice inside of me stop talking.”
Porter and Diddy began dating in 1994 and their relationship ended in 2007. They share three children together, son Christian, 20, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, 12. Porter also has a son, Quincy, from her relationship with Al B. Sure!
