Diana Ross celebrated her 75th birthday with a star-studded bash.
The legendary diva was joined by some of her closest friends and family while marking the milestone occasion, including Beyoncé. Queen Bey took the mic to serenade “The Boss” with a special performance of “Happy Birthday” during Ross’ “Diamond Diana” celebration at the Warwick in Hollywood on Tuesday night (Mar. 26).
Tracee Ellis Ross asked Bey to do the honors of singing “Happy Birthday” to her mother. While there was a strict “no phones” policy, according to Gayle King, everyone brought out their phones as soon as Beyoncé started singing.
“Wait, Beyoncé, are you still here?” asked Tracee as she searched the room for Mrs. Carter. “Do you want to sing ‘Happy Birthday?’ Come on down.”
Rocking a braided ponytail, Bey belted out a flawless rendition of the celebratory tune for her idol, who she called “Miss Ross.”
After hugging Beyoncé, Ross thanked the crowd. “Thank you all. I am so blessed to have so many people here to share this with me. I love you so much,” she said.
In addition to Bey, the star-studded guest list included Diddy, Berry Gordy, Robin Thicke, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, French Montana, Bette Midler, Debbie Allen, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, and more.
Earlier in the evening, Ross performed a sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium, where she brought out DJ Khaled and Diddy’s daughters, D’Lila Star, Jessie James, and Chance, who joined the icon for a performance of “Stop! In the Name of Love.”
“One of the best days of my life!!!” tweeted Puff. “My three Queens sharing the stage with the legendary and the beautiful @DianaRoss!!!!!!”
