Fans will have to wait for Culture III.
The third installment in Migos’ Culture series won’t be dropping until 2020. During a Twitter Q&A with fans, Offset broke the news. “[When] are the migos dropping their next album,” asked one fan, to which Offset responded, “Next year.”
He was more specific about a release date when the question was posed a second time. “Culture 3 really soon?” asked another one of his 1.8 million followers to which he replied, “Next year anniversary.”
According to Offset, it looks like Culture III will now arrive in January 2020. Migos originally announced that the album would drop in late January in keeping with past Culture releases.
There had been hints at the album’s delay. “Culture III is not ready yet,” Quavo told Billboard in January. “We’re waiting on Offset’s solo album.”
During his Twitter Q&A, Offset also revealed that Migos and Lil Uzi Vert’s joint project is still in the works along with Without Warning 2, a sequel to 2017’s collaborative project with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin.
But don’t expect more solo albums. After Quavo’s Quavo Huncho, Takeoff’s The Last Rocket, and Offset’s Father of 4, the group has other plans. “No straight gang shit from now on,” he told a fan when asked if more solo projects were on the way.
Meanwhile, Offset is planning to drop a video for his Cardi B collaboration “Clout” off his solo debut Father of 4 as soon as next week. Migos will reunite to perform their Mustard collaboration “Pure Water” at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 23.
