The black widow returns.
Iggy Azalea goes funeral chic in the dark and sexy video for her J. White-produced single “Sally Walker.” The stylized clip, shot in Atlanta and directed by Colin Tilley, co-stars contestants from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” including Shea Couleé, Mayhem Miller, and Miss Vanjie.
The brooding storyline opens with little Sally Walker walking down the street before being hit by Couleé in her car. “Didn’t her mama ever tell her not to play in the street?” says Couleé after seeing Sally dead in a pool of blood. At Sally’s funeral, a lavender-haired Iggy raps from the pews as Vanjie and Mayhem pay respects to their friend.
During the funeral procession, a hearse rides down the street with Iggy sitting on top, donning a red veil, while cheerleaders twerk beside it. The Aussie bombshell changes into a red latex outfit while delivering her eulogy in front of Sally’s casket before slaying a fierce dance routine on the cemetery lawn.
The visual then switches to a new song called “Started,” with Iggy surrounded by her crew including some fans who entered an open casting call. “I started from the bottom and now I’m rich,” she raps. “You started out hating, now you love my drip.”
“Sally Walker” is the first release off Iggy’s upcoming album In My Defense, which will be released under her new deal with EMPIRE. “I’m really proud of my album,” she tweeted. “It shits on 95% of everything I’ve ever made & its only half done.”
Watch Iggy go and do her thang.
