Solange is capping off Black History Month with a surprise.
Following a series of teasers throughout the week, the singer is rumored to be releasing her new album tonight. It’s unclear what the title is, but she has revealed the tracklisting via Twitter. The 19 tracks pay homage to her Houston roots, with titles such as “S McGregor,” “Almeda,” “Binz,” and “Beltway.”
Earlier this week, Solange took over BlackPlanet.com to share a series of Western-themed photos. She also told fans to call a 281 number that Houston rapper Mike Jones previously used. Plus, she posted video clips featuring new music, one song which may have been produced by Tyler, the Creator.
The highly-anticipated follow-up to 2016’s A Seat at the Table was reportedly recorded at various locations including New Orleans, Jamaica, and California’s Topanga Canyon. “There is a lot of jazz at the core,” Solange told The New York Times’ T Magazine last fall. “But with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
