Rihanna is expanding her fashion empire.

The Fenty Beauty mogul is said to be partnering with the world’s largest luxury group, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, to launch her own luxury house.

Multiple sources tell WWD that the singer has been in secret discussions with LVMH for the project. This would mark the first fashion brand that CEO Bernard Arnault has launched from scratch since Christian Lacroix in 1987.

LVMH reportedly started assembling a team about six months ago in Paris, including some employees from Louis Vuitton and Celine, to work on the launch alongside Rihanna and some of her key associates. The project is being overseen by Sidney Toledano, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH Fashion Group, which includes Givenchy, Celine, Kenzo, and Marc Jacobs.

Earlier this week, Rihanna stepped out in Manhattan wearing gold shades with her “Fenty” brand name spelled out across the temples. Sources say she was test driving a prototype from the upcoming LVMH-backed line.

Rihanna is currently creative director of Puma, where she launched her activewear brand Fenty by Puma. She also has her own successful Fenty Beauty line, which reportedly made $100 million in sales in its first 40 days on the market, as well as a lingerie line.
