Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are expanding their family in 2019.

The couple is reportedly expecting their fourth child via surrogate, sources tell Us Weekly. In August, it was reported that the couple, who used a surrogate for their daughter Chicago, had one embryo left, a male. The baby is reportedly due in early May.

The Wests’ third child, Chicago, was born via surrogate last January. The couple also shares two other kids, daughter North, 5, and son Saint, 3. Kim, who comes from a large family herself, has reportedly always wanted four kids.

“Even before Chicago was born, Kim was talking about asking the surrogate to carry her next baby,” an insider told People. “She’s so happy with the whole process and thrilled with the surrogate.”

Kim opted for a surrogate with Chicago due to a health condition known as placenta accreta, which would have made her third pregnancy life-threatening.

“I had two really difficult pregnancies and really difficult deliveries, so getting pregnant again it’s something that does concern me,” the 38-year-old said during a 2016 episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

As for Kanye, he continues to express the importance of family. “You have to see and feel how happy I am and how strong my family is,” he tweeted last month. “We are even stronger because of this through the love and grace of god.”
