The 2019 Coachella lineup is here.
Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala will headline the three-day festival in Indio, Calif., which once again features some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B.
Day 1 will see performances from Janelle Monáe, Anderson .Paak, Juice WRLD, Ella Mai, Jaden Smith, dvsn, Tierra Whack, and more, closing out with a performance from Gambino.
Saturday’s bill includes Solange, Kid Cudi, J Balvin, Wiz Khalifa, Sheck Wes, Idris Elba, Virgil Abloh, Sabrina Claudio, SiR, and Murda Beatz.
It all caps off on Sunday, with performances from Pusha-T, Khalid, Bad Bunny, YG, Playboi Carti, H.E.R., Gucci Gang (Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp), and Grande, who shared her excitement over her first Coachella booking.
“humbled and excited as all hell @coachella. thank u,” she tweeted.
One artist not on the bill is Kanye West, who was reportedly in talks to headline before negotiations broke down over the stage design. According to TMZ, Kanye didn’t want to perform on a traditional stage because it was “artistically limiting.” However, Coachella organizer Goldenvoice was not willing to alter the stage for Ye’s set, so they mutually agreed to call off his performance. Rihanna and Justin Timberlake were also among the rumored headliners.
Coachella is set to take place over two weekends on April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. Passes go on sale Friday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. PST at coachella.com.
