Mac Miller died Friday (Sept. 7) of an apparent drug overdose. He was 26.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the platinum-selling rapper was found at around noon at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities were alerted by a male, who made a 911 call presumably from Mac’s home.

Miller was open about his battle with substance abuse throughout the years. In May, he was arrested for DUI and hit and run after crashing his Mercedes G-Wagon by wrapping it around a utility pole.

Mac released five studio albums throughout his career, starting with his 2011 debut Blue Slide Park. His most recent, Swimming, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. He was set to kick off a tour in support of the album in late October.

In the wake of his sudden passing, Miller’s peers took to social media to share their thoughts and prayers.
