Wanna party with Cardi B?

The Bronx rapper will return to the stage to open the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Aug. 20. It will mark her first performance since giving birth to her daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus in July.

Last month, the new mom pulled out of Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic World Tour” following her pregnancy. “Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained since it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,” she said.

Cardi, who performed “Bodak Yellow” during last year’s VMA pre-show, leads with 10 nominations at the 2018 VMAs including Video, Song, and Artist of the Year, while JAY-Z and Beyoncé aka The Carters follow with eight.

Cardi joins previously announced performers Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Logic, Shawn Mendes, and Jennifer Lopez, who will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The 2018 VMAs will air live from New York’s Radio City Music Hall on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9 p.m. EST.
